Policies
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS:
Dogs will need to have been with you at least 30 days before starting care. This will allow them to adjust to their new home and become familiar with new people and visitors.
If the dog(s) will be coming to my home, you will need to provide proof of their most recent wellness exam and a negative fecal test done by your veterinarian before starting care.
Additionally, all pets in their own home or those staying at one of our Sitter’s must be on a flea and tick medication and have been on it for at least two months.
REQUIRED VACCINATIONS:
DHPP (distemper/parvo)
Bordetella (kennel cough)
Rabies
SICK POLICY:
Pets showing new signs of illness before owners are set to leave must get properly checked by their veterinarian prior to the agreed upon service dates.
No pets will be admitted to a Sitter’s home if they are showing any of the following signs:
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Sneezing with green nasal discharge
Coughing
RESERVATIONS/CANCELLATIONS:
Reservations are preferred at least 72 hours in advance, 7 days for overnight services.
Cancellation is required at least 48 hours in advance of any service appointment.
If a cancellation is made less than 48 hours in advance for any service appointment, there will be a 50% cancellation fee based on the intended service charge.
If Pet Sitter arrives at the appointment without prior cancellation notification agreed upon by both parties, Pet Owner will be responsible for 100% of the visit fee.
Maximum length of stay for boarding in a Sitter’s home is 8 days/7 nights.
Before a boarding stay is able to be booked, an overnight trial must be scheduled to see how your animal does in our Sitter’s home.
LATE PAYMENT POLICY:
Payment is preferred weekly for daily clients and at completion of service for all boarding and overnights. There will be 10% late payment charge applied to all unpaid services older than 30 days.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY:
On days with extreme weather (heat, cold, and rain storms) walking durations may be reduced, cancelled or rescheduled to a safer time of day.
PROPERTY SAFETY POLICY:
Access to the driveway, sidewalk, and home must be clear from snow, ice, or any other obstructions. If these areas are unclear and pose a slip/fall or other injury hazard, services will not be rendered and you will be charged 100% of the scheduled services.
